GORDON ARMSTRONG (MR GORDO)

I am an illustrator and graphic designer with experience in education and leadership roles, and over twenty years of experience in the creative industry.

Throughout my career, my work has spanned editorial, branding, marketing, live drawing events, packaging design, murals, art direction, and artwork for digital and vinyl record releases.

Some of my long-standing clients include Fire Records and Altogether Otherwise with NOMA Manchester, amongst many others, including HOKA, It's Nice That, Freitage, Camden Brewery, Nottingham Trent University, The National Trust, Tate, The Lemonheads, Weird Walk, Liberty London, Concord Records, Sumerian Records and Long Way Up Production, to name a few.

In addition, I cofounded Zine Swap with Rob Peart.

  • Responsible for creating all creative assets across the business, ranging from paid social media content to internal marketing materials.
  • Ensure that all content and marketing collateral align with brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to deliver creative assets for email marketing, competitions, and social media, in accordance with the marketing plan.
  • Work alongside the e-commerce and product teams to produce content and assets for the Print.inc website and for sub-brands and customers.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to develop and launch new products, following product plans and business strategies.
  • Create designs, prototype products, select suppliers and product finishes, and assess the production viability of new products.
  • Develop product templates and assets for customer use, including artwork specifications for the product pages on the website.
  • Partner with the VIP team to create merchandise design solutions for local and global clients, utilising existing assets, creating mood boards, and completing custom designs as needed.
  • Able to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Possess knowledge of print and production processes, including limitations across a wide variety of products.
  • Create email templates and build email campaigns using the Mailchimp platform.
  • Utilise the Infigo platform to keep the Print.inc website updated and to develop new products.
